The Wedding Nazi

Over the past several weeks leading up to and then climaxing in my daughter's wedding in Augusta, Georgia I've learned that there are wedding coordinators in this world whose prime directive is to create hell on earth for the participants.  Family and friends had started referring to her as the "Wedding Nazi" or the "Nazi Wedding Coordinator".  When I finally met her at the rehearsal I learned first hand that the wedding would proceed her way or else -- input from the family be dammed.

The Church of the Good Shepard is clueless as to the duties and responsibilities of a shepherd.  Likewise it is clueless as to the meaning of pastoral ministry.  I am not even convinced that it understands Christian theology.  Its leaders have their noses so high in the air with pride and privilege that they have lost sight of the meaning of Christianity.  From beginning to end I was shocked at the insensitivity and callousness of the church staff.  Not only did the organist refuse to play the recessional previously agreed upon but he also made it clear early on that he would play what he wanted without regard for the input from the family.

Anyone considering marriage or any other type of family service at the Church of the Good Shepard in Augusta, Georgia should run as quickly and rapidly as possible in some other direction.  They should find a church that clearly understands that the meaning and message of Christianity is centered around love and tolerance and not the egos and vanity of church leadership.
